Nike Air Foamposite Pro - Yeezy

If you're like me, you're sick of all things "Yeezy" right now too. That being said, this is one of the better Foamposite Pro color ways to drop in some time. Nike took it easy on the graphics this time much to the pleasure of sneakerheads everywhere. No heat map, weather map or topography map covering this upper, just all over black with a very subtle checked pattern from the looks of early pics. The bright red lining and glow in the dark sole explain the sad but appropriate "Yeezy" nickname as well as add a bit of color.

The Yeezy Foams drop in on April 19, 2014, which happens to be right in the middle of spring. Here are some spring shirts and jacket to rock with them:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Tough choices on what to rock today. Should I go with the Saucony Originals Jazz? Jordan 1 Electric Green? Or the Air Jordan 1 Celtics? The Jazz feature a black suede toe box with a kelly green shamrock embroidered on the outside, kelly green heel up with a big black embroidered shamrock and kelly green laces and a black/white/kelly green midsole. The Jordan 1 electric green features a gorge green outsole, white midsole and an upper comprised of electric green, gorge green and black leather. The Air Jordan 1 Celtics pays tribute to the old Boston Garden and comes with a gold swoosh, along with a white/green/black leather upper. The green has an inlaid parquet pattern mimics the legendary Boston Garden court wood.

Let's see if a full setup will help make my St. Patrick's Day garb choice any easier:

Saucony Jazz. Nixon Rubber Player watch. Adidas Celtics tshirt. Levi's 527 jeans.

Air Jordan 1 Celtics. Adidas Celtics hoodie. Wewood watch. Levi's twisted seam jeans.

Jordan Retro Air Jordan 1 Electric Green. Air Jordan Electric Green tshirt. Nixon Private watch. Levi's 559 jeans.

Nike Air Tech Challenge II - Bamboo

How about we pair up a couple of upcoming releases? Today we look at the Nike Air Tech Challenge II, originally inspired by Andre Agassi. This retro comes with a tan upper made entirely of suede, including and off-white Swoosh, liner and heel branding. The classic ATC II midsole comes in Volt to really make this colorway pop. Stay with the sporty/active theme and rock a Casio G-Shock on your wrist with these on your feet. We recommend the Green version of the famous GD-120 from their new Team Sports Series:

The Concepts X Converse Pro Leather "Aran Sweater" is actually more "traditional" than you think it is. "Traditional" in the sense that the upper is based on the traditional Irish cable knit sweaters than take their name from the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland. After you get over the initial shock of a sweater on your feet, you realize that these are actually much more versatile than you think. Just like most Converse All-Stars, you can rock just about anything with them. Pants seem to be the toughest fit so we found a few that might work well. Just be sure to sat on the slim side, especially around the ankle, so your pants don't swallow the shoe whole.

The Concepts X Converse Pro Leather "Aran Sweater" drops this Saturday, March 15 at Concepts and online at www.cncpts.com in a limited supply. Just in time for St. Patricks Day!

Saucony X UBIQ Grid 9000 - Dirty Martini

The Saucony Originals crew teams up with Philadelphia-based UBIQ for today's release of the "Dirty Martini" Grid 9000. It's pretty easy to see where the name came from when taking a look at these classics. Smooth green suede covers the toe box with a predominantly black upper. Hits of orange accents on the eyelets and midesole complete the olive look. Math these up with a watch of similar top-notch craftsmanship. The Nixon 51-30 Chrono from their new Industrial Craft collection is similarly understated in dark, earthy tones, goes perfectly with the Dirty Martini theme.

Asics Gel-Lyte III - Off-white/Teal/Orange

Asics is coming through with another retro Gel-Lyte III this spring in an off-white/teal/orange colorway that's perfect for the spring and summer. The suede upper is accented with blue, black and teal ballistic nylon. The outsole has hits of teal and orange to match the laces and inner lining completing and altogether classic look. Rock this during the spring with this Stone Island water and wind resistant jacket:

Nike Air Force 1 - Vulcanized Sole

Nike Sportswear debuted another new edition of the classic Air Foce 1 Low. Nike is bringing a vulcanized sole out just in time for spring and summer. This pair features an all white upper with a tan heel accent, pinstriped inner lining and best of all, a gum outsole. This is a very versatile shoe, but since it's still cold out, we found the perfect sweater to pair with them:

Jordan Air Jordan III Retro - Infrared 23

Jordan brings back the III and the Infrared 23 theme again this Saturday March, 8 in brand new color way. This version is very similar to the White Cement III's looks-wise, but with a black tongue and hints of infrared being the main differences. Once classic look deserves another, check this crew neck from Reigning Champ:

PS - do a lace swap with black laces on the Infrared 23's. $$$$$

Nike Free Run 2 Sneakerboot

So it looks like winter isn't quite over yet, no matter what we wished for. With all the snow melting you have to be careful about wearing your kicks around town. Not these though. The Nike Free Run 2 Sneakerboot is as comfortable as the regular Free Run 2 line, but tough enough for the elements. Check out this Survival Bracelet Accessory that houses a compass, magnesium firestarter and LED flashlight on your wrist. It easily attaches to any paracord bracelet as well.

Oh and if you noticed that it seems to be missing a bottle opener, they have one of those too:

Jordan Future

With Jordan brand officially unveiling their newest creation, the Future (releasing March 15, 2014), and creating a huge buzz this week, you've probably developed an opinion one way or the other. It's quite the polarizing shoe already and it hasn't even been released yet. The use of the iconic Jordan XI sole will appeal to old 'heads and the one-piece Woven Chukka upper has a cult following already.

It's obvious that this is a casual shoe, not an on-court performer so the question is what to wear with it? Most of the pics so far show sweatpants or track pants. When hanging out around the house relaxing, these options would be perfect to match the comfort of the Future, but what if you're heading out and want to compliment the look?

What you don't want to do is rock a pair of loose or baggy jeans that will swallow the Future and cover most of the shoe. Dress pants are also too formal for it. Since it's a tight fit around the foot and the ankle, there's nothing for your denim to sit on top of like there is with most retro Jordans. That being the case, you're best option is to go with a slim fit jean that hugs the ankle and won't overlap the shoe. Here are a couple options:

Jordan XI Gamma Blue - Air Force One White/Royal Blue

Want to know what to wear with your Gammas or a classic pair of AF1's? Clearly the choice is Duke Basketball gear! Just ask Coach K and Jabari Parker:

I love the old school/new school footwear going on in this week's SI cover. You got Coach K repping some classic Air Forces and Jabari Parker in the newest colorway of the retro XI's. Who looks better?

Air Jordan X - Powder

Jordan brought back this classic UNC colorway of the Air Jordan X this weekend in a limited release. Did you get your hands on a pair? If so, there's not a better time to dress them up a bit than when they are fresh out of the box and ready to be undeadstocked. Here are a few button downs that add to the Jordan class, but aren't too formal for sneakers.

Nike Lebron X - Cork

While I'm not a fan of Lebron or his line of kicks, the corks definitely caught my eye. Unique and premium materials help the look of any shoe, especially the Lebron X. However, I am a huge fan of Nixon so when I saw their spring Naturel Collection, I immediately saw them as a compliment to the Lebron Corks. Sport a natural look with this combination.  The Private is my favorite, but any of these watches would be a perfect accessory to the corks.

New Balance National Parks 998

Dress these New Balance National Parks 998's up a bit with some chinos instead of the usual jeans you'd normally rock with sneakers. Khaki, tan and brown are a nice compliment to the powder blue that dominates the upper, or go with black to match the outsole.
